Stuart,

I did some checking on the Internet. Homberg IX is also known as UGC 5336
(visual brightness of 16.5, apparent dimension of 1.4 arc min). Note that
the UGC catalog can be loaded into Starry Night.

I believe its an irregular companion to M81.
