Re: [APML] Comet Bradfield C/2004 F4 - dawn April 25th

Thanks Jeff, John, Roland & Stuart.

Jeff - The Fuji Press 800 recorded the scene quite well. However, the grain
can be annoying. I did a pass of SGBNR to smooth it out. If you have a
small portable mount setup (i.e. Kenko Skymemo or Great Polaris), I would
probably go with Provia 400F and do a tracked exposure anywhere from 30-60
seconds. Just to minimize the trailed stars. IMO, with a 50mm lens, 30
seconds is the limit to record stars that are not overly trailed.

Roland - LINEAR T7 is still a nice comet but Bradfield's tail is much
longer. I had actually planned on shooting LINEAR that morning but
Bradfield was so beautiful, I went for it instead. Clear skies are
returning to the east coast so don't give up.

Stuart - I'm looking forward to seeing your shot! I wish you clear skies.

I'm planning on trying another shot over the next morning or so. Should be
interesting to see how it has evolved.

Chris
