RE: [APML] O.T.: NEC DVD burner

Did you try
 mailto:oem.products@necsam.com

Drivers a firmware are supposed to come from the reseller. NewEgg is your
problem.

Subject: [APML] O.T.: NEC DVD burner

Hello APML group:

I recently installed a new NEC ND-2500A 8X DVD/CD burner (OEM) in my 1.5
year old PC. It reads both CD's and DVD's, but will note write (burn) CD's
with neither Nero v.5.9.0 (OEM) nor NTI CD burning software (have not yet
tried to burn a DVD). My Windows XP recognizes the NEC ND-2500A in Device
Manager. I telephoned NEC and their recorded message says they do not offer
technical support for their DVD drives. When I tried to get the NEC operator
there was no answer. I also emailed NEC and so far have got no response. I
bought the drive from NewEgg.com who also offers no technical support. Can
anyone suggest a source of technical support so I can get the drive to write
both CD's and DVD's?

Thanks.
