I really appreciate the excellent advise. You also sparked a
thought in possibly avoiding possible "aberrations" due to
atmospheric extinction (i.e., stay with targets above 30 degrees
altitude). This should keep atmospheric "contamination" to a
minimum; however, with lens' focal lengths between 55-300mm, I may
not need to worry about it as much. I'll be using a STV for guiding
so guiding errors should be minimal, assuming I get good polar
alignment.
