[APML] CRT vs Flat Panel

I just bought a 19" Viewsonic flat panel that has 600:1 contrast ratio (along with a digital video board for my AGP slot at 128 MB memory) and the system is superb even in comparison to my Sony 20" CRT for astro images.

I did a lot of comparing before settling on this panel (can it be called a monitor anymore?) and it seems the best in the sub $1k price range for me.
