RE: [APML] CRT vs Flat Panel for display of astrophotos
Even the high end LCD monitor has a 50% fall off in contrast at only a 20
degree off center viewing angle. You don't see that in a CRT.
In a related study Consumer Report's recent TV analysis said that CRT's are
still the best TV's for off angle viewing, image brightness, value,
stability, color reproduction etc etc compared to LCD or Plasma
