Hi Vincent and Chris !
Vincent , yes you should buy an adapter to fix the lens on your camera but read the instructions because the diaphragm can be adjust only manualy , here's the link http://www.rugift.com/photocameras/canon_fd_lens_adapter.htm
Chris , I know about the non complete circular image with the 8mm but for me it's a detail , considering the price of this lens :) I found a french site where they tested photographically the 8mm , the zenitar 16mm and the Canon 16mm , here's the link ( there's 2 pages ) http://www.pictchallenge.com/TestFish1.html , they have good words for the zenitar 16mm :) you just have to translate the page here http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en
btw : what mean IMO ?
This lens can be adapted to a Canon FD?????
Vicent.
Hi Dominic -I'm familiar with these Russian lenses. I had looked into buying the 8mm but found out it does not give a true circular image. Instead it overflows the frame on two sides. The 16mm f/2.8 is still a possibility. I wonder how image quality compares to the Nikon 15mm f/3.5 rectilinear, an awesome lens IMO?Chris
