Re: [APML] CCD vs. Film Truce

Rob,

It has always been my position that the recording medium is not the point... over the years the boundaries have greyed somewhat... along with our hair...I have utilized at least 50% of my film skills when I dabble with CCD as the recording medium... and I believe the final outcome of the CCD vs. film discussion was... do both! Each medium is best suited for particular endeavors, and we are by now well versed in the capabilities of each... some of us have to abide by financial considerations, time considerations, and energy considerations... I really don't like to stay up all night anymore, it tears me up the next day... who wants to feel like that???

You have put in amazing amounts of energy and dedication to astronomical imaging... you have set new standards for urban astrophotography... you have shown that it is possible to do the almost impossible... the drive to do this may have necessitated a certain bias in certain directions, but that cannot diminish what you have accomplished... no apologies needed.
