Congratulations! I have a 4x5 variable contrast enlarger that I still enjoy
using when I have the time, but I am starting to see the advantages of going
digital. I checked out some smaller printers at Calumet photo in Chicago
recently when I was on a business trip. I am considering the Espson 2200. I
looked at the printing specs on the 2200 and it looks like a home version of
the 9600. Same ink and print quality, but a smaller non commercial machine.
Is my assessment accurate based on your research? I will do some color
printing, but I want a printer that will give excellent results from scanned
B&W negatives. I am interested in having a printer at home so that I can
practice printing digitally. I am thinking I can use my printer to proof
digital files in print form and then send the file to someone like you for
any large prints that I will need.
