Hi All,

After a 6 month hiatus (taking down the old f/5 20"
Newt, moving it up to
Stellafane, rebuilding and upgrading the mount and
then installing the new OTA) this is the
"first light" color CCD image of M81. This image was
taken through a 20" RC with
a Finger Lakes IMG6303E CCD camera. It is 72:24:24:24
minute respective LRGB
exposure in average New England seeing conditions
about 10 miles from the city
of Worcester. A step backward in one
sense..considerably longer exposures are needed
at F/8 than at F/5 for good CCD SN.
