RE: [APML] Death Valley Nightscape

Chris, I can almost see craters in the white stuff. Neat shot!

Subject: [APML] Death Valley Nightscape

Hi all -

This past weekend I traveled to Death Valley NP. One of my goals, on top of
seeing all the spectacular sights, was to do a moonlit shot of the Badwater
area on the valley floor. This region is truly alien like. When taking the
image I felt as if I was on another world. The landscape is so stark and
barren. There is not a trace of life or vegetation for as far as the eye
can see. Just salt, rock and sand. A warm southerly wind combined with the
faint smell of the nearby salt pools made for a very memorable evening. I
guess this is about as close to the Moon or Mars you can get here on Earth.
It's no wonder NASA and JPL test(ed) some of their planetary rovers in the
region.

Here's the image:

Again, the Provia 400F was a superb performer.

Hope you enjoy! Comments always welcome.

Chris
