[APML] M101-TechPan/PPF composite
Hello all,
I got to thinking about the LRGB and gathered up some crappy stuff and
thought I would see if together they might come out OK. The color was
provided by PPF. I don't even have the exposure on it. The Techpan was
shot one year ago in my light polluted yard with a fairly bright phase
of the Moon if I recall correctly. I used Rob Gendler's technique. I
thought the TP had decent resolution to use for this. I am trying to
squeeze what I can out of my little 1000mm focal length scope here in
galaxy season. I used Picture Window pro to remove some uneven
illumination in the Techpan. I scanned the negatives with the Polaroid
Polacolor insight and manipulated the luminance levels as per our
discussions here on APML. The color shot was severely cropped in size,
so the image scale is a little larger than I wanted. A little noisy and
grainy, but it was another learning experience. Any tips appreciated.
Thanks.
