Hey Dave, Sorry to be a pest about this. I'm trying to find out as much as I can. I'm forwarding this message and want to know: does the SS4000 work like the Minolta that's mentioned? If not, is there some way to adjust the levels before final scanning? What appears to be happening is that it does a prescan, then allows you to "adjust" levels, which actually is adjusting the exposure times.
