Re: [APML] A PS curves question
When I fisrt open an image in Photoshop, I crop off the black edges if there are any. Then I look at the histograms. If the image is clipped, I may have to scan the image again until I can get it unclipped. I usually scan in 42-bit mode. If necessary, I adjust the levels to spread the histogram to the edges. I may adjust the gamma to put the "hump" on the left side of the graph. The image should look better at this point. Then I convert to 8-bit mode and add a curves layer and other layers.
