[APML] [ovas1] M51-color with Provia

Hello all,
Tony, thanks so much for the info on scanning bit. Kirk Rogers and I
were just discussing the importance of anything over 8 bits. I took a
composite with Provia 400F and put it with the Luminance of the ST10E.
The Provia was a composite of 2 one hour shots a few weeks ago. Thanks
to Rob Gendler for his Luminance/RGB article. That is what I followed.
Don't know if it is the most appropriate for film, but it seemed to
work. The biggest problem was red halos<g> Yep, that's right. The
dreaded red halos came through loud and clear on the luminance. I tried
star shaping on the RGB layer prior to flattening, but my efforts did
not seem to work. Oops, seems I left a red halo on the bottom left star
for you to look at. Thanks again for all of the advice. Here is the
image. Now I have to go play Nintendo with the kids.
