Thanks for noticing that Chris.  It was difficult for me to see and I had to pump up the brightness to see it easily.  It was a fairly easy fix.

Daniel, the M45 shot is perfect, that sky blue color is really good.  The M31 shot has green blotches above and below the galaxy.  I suspect that is the vignette showing up as diffrential color.  You might try selecting just the center of the image and adding alittle magenta.

I've reprocessed my images of the Pleiades and M31 from new scans. 
 
 
The Pleiades appears to be a decent improvement in faint detail and a little bit in star images.  You can see more detail in IC1995 to the left.  The M31 shot though provided me with plenty of head-scratching time.  I had to really work with the color and saturation (took me a few hours), but I'm not sure if it looks right.  How do you all work with scans having bland colors?
