[APML] More basic Photoshop ?'s

Hi all, 

In Jerry's article on 'Removing Uneven Field
Illumination',he says "Change the tool type to
circular from linear". I find no way to do that on my
program.

I'm using 5.5, not sure what he used. Is there another
option for me, or did I miss something?
