Subject: [APML] Kodak Supra 800
Revisited
Awhile back there was a discussion of the merits (or lack
of ) for Kodak's Supra 800. I posted a message that I had had better luck
with it then most and was asked if I had the images available to see. At
the time I didn't have my web site up so I decided to push it ahead a bit
and at least get one image with Supra 800 up. If you follow this link:

Comparisons
It will take you to my image of M42. It's a 35 min exposure done
with a 4" flourite refractor at f/9. The strangest thing about this shot
is that it needed almost no tweaking at all (usually I do alot of work
on an image) the black background and nebula colors came up immediately.
I haven't done anything to the red's but I bumped the blues up slightly
to bring out some detail in the running man. Take a look, it's quite a
bit different from the other images that people were showing from their
attempts at shooting with Supra800.
Thanks
