Roland,
Here are a few film examples. I
started doing tech pan/colour LRGB in '98, when I got my first scanners. Jack
Newton and I discussed doing this over Christmas dinner back in 91 or 92, way
before digital techniques became the norm. We couldn't figure out a way to get
the negatives properly stacked, rotated and scaled back then, everything
would have to be done with an enlarger in the darkroom. When I started
working with Picture Window and Photoshop, this all became a reality - clumsy,
but possible. Once I became a beta tester for RegiStar (Dec 99), this was a
piece of cake. The biggest problem with using a Newtonian to do this, when the
images are taken years apart, is finding image pairs where the diffraction
spikes line up.

I really like Rob's extension of this idea with
LLRGB. I will be trying it out when I have the right type of images - and the
time.
