If this had *not* been a film list, I wouldn't have joined. Note that
like Bobby, I don't have a problem with seeing stuff that originated
from a CCD instead of film. But if this was predominantly CCD images,
I don't know that I would have joined.

I just went through asking *here* about doing large-format
photography. That wouldn't be an appropriate question in any of the
CCD groups I know of. Nor would the discussions about color response
of different emulsions.

Perhaps my bias is because I'm focusing on wide-field photography with
35mm and medium format cameras rather than through the telescope
shots. In any event, I came looking for a place where I could learn
about using film. I don't mind the overlap with CCD in terms of
digital processing; I don't see myself going to the darkroom and doing
photographyic unsharp masking any time soon (or anytime for that
matter). My process is to capture the image on film, digitize it,
process it, then send it to an online print service. But film is the
starting point for me, and likely will be for some time.
