I saw this fella on TechTV tonight. His name is Bert Monroy. He made Photoshop look way too easy. I used one of his techniques to enhance a mediocre Halpha shot I took with a digital camera on a TV85/Coronado Solarmax. The technique I used was his technique for ehnancing contrast in overexposed images. He duplicated the background layer and used multiply. This worked well on bringing out sunspots in my shot that were just barely visible by adjusting curves. I hope this link works. Looks like a good text he has written. http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/answerstips/story/0,24330,3327959,00. html He encouraged me to use the duplicate background layer more frequently and play with some of the options you have when applying the layer. He is my new Halpha image with the background layer duplicated and multiply function applied. http://www.astro-photography.com/Nikon_halpha.htm Jeff Ball
