RE: [APML] More basic processing ?'s



Alan, the industry uses the sum of the individual channels for quantifying
color depth.  for example, 8 bits per channel is R+G+B = 8+8+8= 24 bit
color.  Similarliy 12 bits per channel is called 36 bit color.

Hey again Chris,

Meant to ask about this but forgot. Can you explain
how 36 bits comes from 8 bits and 12 bits?
