Re: [APML] What direction now?

Leaving myself out of the equation for now there is a very serious
detriment to eliminating CCD from APML. Most of the more prolific imagers
on the list (Tony, Loke, Matt and Mike to name a few) are getting
increasingly
more active in CCD. There are also several other very well respected imagers
on this list who see a CCD in their future. I ask the members of APML this:
Do you want to see these people leave APML and move to the SBIG and other
CCD lists as they delve further into electronic imaging and gradually become
less welcome here? Or would you like them to stay and continue to be a
valuable
resource here. If they leave this would gradually lead to a decline in the
quality of the
APML (which is very high at the moment). I assume this is not the trend
people
want to see.

On another issue I would estimate that about 25% of posts are "image posts"
(both
film and CCD), 50% are software and image processing related (photoshop
stuff),
and I would venture to say only about 25% concern actual film related
technical issues.
So probably 75% of the posts are of interest to both film and CCD folks.
There is room for everyone I think. I have listened to what was said and
personally
will try to include technique and image processing related tips with my
image posts.
