RE: [APML] Basic processing

Hi Warren,

You raise a very good point. I have been of mixed minds as to whether or
not to start tweaking images before stacking.

But, my inclination (thus far, anyway) has been to combine the raw scans
first and then tweak the combined material. I would not necessarily do this
with mosaics, where it might be easier to match backgrounds first - I am
speaking about stacked images.

There can be exceptions, of course. For instance, if light
falloff/vignetting were variable between the stacked frames. I might try an
A/V layer on each image first and see if it improved the result.

I would be most interested in how others handle their work flows, however.
Maybe we should have some more discussions about the ordering of image
processing steps, and the effects this has on the final image.

Take care,

Scott
