You can't go wrong with a Sony Trinitron or a Mitsubishi
Diamondtron.  The 19" Viewsonic (PF790) is also pretty
decent from what I have read but I don't remember what
tube they use.  I own an older version of the Viewsonic,
the 19" G790, and I have been very happy with it.

Whichever one you get, make sure it has an aperture mask
grille (as opposed to shadow mask) and then go for the
smallest dot pitch you can afford.

Being able to set the R, G and B guns individually is also
a big advantage when you try and set the white point --
although to do that with any accuracy you will need
additional fancy equipment like a colorimeter with
software.
