My only advice on saving time at a
remote site is:
1. Organize all you equipment. Segment
it into seperate parts that are related... accessories go in a certain box, etc
etc etc. This way you won't forget anything.
2. PRACTISE SETTING UP AT HOME. I
can't emphasize that last one enough. You don't want to experiment at the dark
site. Practise polar aligning, assembling, taking it down... see if there are
any problems ahead of time.
3. Write out the steps for assembly and
shooting as a check list... once you get there your brain will probably not be
as "with it" as it is at home...
