[APML] TIPS FOR FIRST "AWAY" PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION

Hi Everyone

Fairly new to the group and subject of photgraphy with film.

I've managed some success from my backyard (mag 4.5 skies on average) with exposures up to 15 mins or so, but will
shortly be taking the plunge of going to a dark sky site (not many in Southern England) to try and get some exposures
of plus 30 mintutes.

I am using a 12 inch F4 reflector, 80mm F11 guidescope, ST4. I've just about mastered the knife edge method of focussing.

My question is: Does anybody have any tips or time saving techniques when setting up
at a remote site? How long before dark do you arrive etc..

Would welcome any tips/advice (bear in mind I'm a novice).

Thanks in advance
