I have searched the Symantec web site for virus definitions.  They seem to
have them for Inteligent Updater, but not Live Update.  Do you know of the
exact location?

I downloaded the latest Live Update upgrade and it tells me I am already up
to date on the Live Update version.  But my problem persists.  Still can the
virus definitions.

Very puzzling.
