[APML] Widefield Rosette with Sh2-282

Hi,

Here is a widefield shot of the Rosette Nebula region together with two
much fainter patches of nebulosity south of it. The lower of the two is
called Sh2-282. Unfortunately, my star chart does not give the name of
the central nebula in spite of the fact that it is the larger of the
two. I would appreciate any information on this object. This image was
acquired sometime last November. Sky conditions were very dark. An 8"
f/1.5 Schmidt camera was used with tricolor Tech Pan. The RGB filters
are Wratten 92, 58, 47 (R,G,B). The two fainter nebulas are not commonly
photographed at this resolution and usually shows up as faint patches in
very widefield camera lens shots. The dynamic range of the Rosette
portion had to be masked (or dodged) otherwise it would have been very
bright in comparison to the other two.
