I could see the comet in the skyglow but M31 was virtually invisible......

Hi All,  Just got back from a Schmidt camera shooting session, Comet IZ was superiposed right on the east side of M31.  The shooting window was only about 10 minutes before it got into the horizon murk.  hopefully photos tommorow.  Did anyone else see this event or shoot it?
