RE: [APML] Hypering setup- leak or normal ??
Hi Gerry,
I have the same setup, except I use the electric, low-vac pump. I have
quick releases on both the gas cylinder and the electric pump, so that I can
easily take the tank into the field.
I have never had the problem you describe. I close off the gas cylinder
first - when at +3 psi - and then close off the chamber fill valve. The
pressure does not change at all during this process.
Is it possible that the O-ring seal is not sealing completely? It would
only take a tiny piece of grit or dust to affect the seal integrity (I can
attest to this with the flooding of underwater cameras too).
