[APML] Hypering setup- leak or normal ??

Hello group, just recently started hypering with the Lumicon 600 setup.
On my final pumpout (hand pump)& filling to +3 psi, I first shut the gas off
when the chamber shows +3 then go to the chamber fill valve & shut it off.
However I notice the chamber pressure is dropping before I get the chamber
fill valve shut off. Once shut off the pressure is constant. Is this normal
or do I have a leak? or should I shut the chamber off first at +3psi then
shut the gas off.
I have tightened all fittings & the tank hose has the quick release coupler
on it- should I eliminate the quick release?
When I pull the vacuum to 26" then let the gas flow to 10" & shut gas off
the chamber pressure remains stable. Thank you in advance, Gerry
