I think we have similar resolution. Apparently we are both up against
the "seeing wall". To get an idea of what is possible with similar
aperture but outstanding "seeing" see Adam Block's M51
taken at Kitt Peak with a 16" Meade.

Hello,
 
      Last night I finally got a basic image ... one each of the RGB and three B&W shots to use as the "L". I have been using this beast for a week now and would like to share my first LRBG attempt with you... my impression is that the CCD did a great job of seperating the colors... the post on the web might seem a bit noisy... so I apologize... but it is my first attempt at this madness.
