Hi Phillip,
I've been lurking here for a while and am still in the very early stages of
learning how to take some good pictures but I think I can answer this or at
least describe how I lined my guidescope up. It wasn't too difficult - I
took my telescope out during the afternoon, focused on the doorbell of a
house in the next neighborhood then adjusted the screws on the guidescope
until the doorbell was in the cross-hairs. I imagine any distant ground
object you can find would work but this worked for me, I've been able to
line up Jupiter and Saturn in my guidescope and they end up sitting square
in the center of my eye piece. Good Luck!
-Mark Wilson.

Hi all,
a silly one:
what is the best method for centering a guidestar with a three-screw
guidescope ring?
with best regards
