You could cheat and do a long-short composite :-)  But you would have
to wait a few weeks to shoot the long exposure without IZ in the frame.

BTW, the comet is currently moving something like 4.1 arcseconds/min
w.r.t to the stars.  So you can use that to figure out a tradeoff between
exposure length and round stars.  IIRC, there is some stuff in Covington's
book on how to do this.
