RE: [APML] Canon AE1
Bill,
Can such an adapter be purchased at a photo shop or are we talking home
grown? Also, the AE-1 is for sale from a local camera store for about
$200.00 and it includes a 50mm lens. Is that a decent deal?

Yes, I use both the AE-1 and the AE-1P for astrophotography. As
has been mentioned the battery drain is there so I use an adaptor
in the battery compartment and connect it to 4 D batteries for the
required 6 volts. 4 D cells will last for several nights with the shutter
open without problem. It also is useful to replace the viewing screen
on the AE-1P with a Beattie Intenscreen plus for added focusing
light.
