Mike , I have a Boyd observatory  7.5ft  and all I can say is I love it . I
just have the top ,I built my own base. plenty of  room . In it I use both a
LX50  and a 5" refractor . 3 adults fit nicely  or 5 medium sized kids . It
is well worth the money . And not that I ever will but I dont think there
would be any problem taking it apart and moving it .
