RE: [APML] 5 new photos
Excellent shots, especially the M31 case with the killer pinpoint stars.
Man, I'd die for skies that dark but in this neck of the woods, it'd take
the end of civilization as we know it...

Subject: [APML] 5 new photos
Hello everyone,
I just received my latest photos from Tony Hallas. All five photos
were
taken with an AP 130mm EDT and a medium format Pentax with un-hypered
PPF
400. The negatives were sent to Tony Hallas to do the digital scanning
and
enhancement. All five photos were able to make nice 16x20 prints
although
some turned out better than others. I photographed M31 and M45 at a
very
dark sky site in Northern Colorado with an elevation of 10,000 feet.
This
made a huge difference in the final 16x20 print. The other three photos
were taken in my backyard where there is some light pollution.
It's interesting to compare the two M31 photos on my web page. Both
photos
were taken with my AP 130mm EDT using PPF 400 film. Exposure times and
locations were the same and both sets of negatives were scanned in by
Tony
Hallas. The only difference is one was taken with a 35mm OM1 and the
other
with a 120 format Pentax 67 camera. I will let you be the judge.
