Re: [APML] new galaxy shots

You know I asked Tony a zillion questions about that scope but I guess I
never really pinned him down on whether it was homebuilt or not..........I
pretty much presumed it was and the reason I thought that was because of all
its different components. It's got the Wilkinson primary with a Parks
fiberglass tube [which by the way is an excellent tube for photography. It's
not as light as carbon but has very little thermal expansion and a lot
cheaper than carbon too. Plus it's stiff and sturdy with good heavy aluminum
end rings.] It has pin-registered cell and a Novak spider/diagonal holder
with a JMI 2" focuser. The scope also has 2 secondaries; a 3.1" for deep sky
photography and a 2.1" for visual use and planetary photography. I plan on
doing my planetary work with it and hope it lives up to my expectations.
Thanks for the good words Philip.
