Re: [APML] Another ST-4 question

Check my web site for a method of tube balancing that works very well.

By the way Herm, I just ordered the Acer Scanner. Be here next week.

Either when its unbalanced or overloaded, I notice erratic performance on the
dec axis, when you attempt visual guiding you get overshot and "stickiness" or
"jerkyness". I beleive that Ted Agos has modified his LX50 with ballbearings on
the dec axis, check his website.

I think LX200 owners forget they have to balance their mounts since they always
use them under motor control. If you use a long dew shield it will help with the
dec balance.
