Re: [APML] Auroral activity over New Mexico
Wow , I saw it here in Northern Va , it was just afer sunset , we thought it
might have been
from the sun and some low clouds but the sun had set quite awhile before.
It was a very large pink glow that had a creamy area the seemed to ripple.
It lasted for about 45 min to an hour and had varying
areas of intensity. It covered a large area from directly over head going east
and had some
spotty coverage in the west.
I managed to get the 35mm out and will see if I actually got any of it.
I have never seen anything like it before , I called my wife out and she was
amazed as well.
what a great way to start off a night of observing.
