Yes, I know this is the most-photographed deepsky object... but I don't care... I like it!

I've never been very happy with any of my shots of this object... something bad always seems to happen during the exposure (maybe somebody is trying to tell me something).

This photo was taken through a Meade 10" f/10 SCT, but was shot at f/5.5 using the Lumicon Giant Easy Guider as the focal reducer. This is a guided 40 minute exposure on hypered Fuji SHG-400 that was taken during a very cold winter night in December, 1994.

Focus is horrid, there are guiding errors, and I tried too hard to get the blue reflection nebula in the frame... but it's the best one I have of it.
